Marcos, who is No. 18 in the ATP world rankings, was the first Cypriot to win an ATP title when he beat Croatian Mario Ancic, 6-4, 6-0, in the China Open Final last September. He will begin his defense on Tuesday when he faces a qualifier as the No. 5 seed.
