The Roland Garros draw was made on Friday in Paris and Marcos, seeded No. 25, will open his campaign against a qualifier yet to be determined.
Marcos has been placed in the second quarter of the draw, and would face either French hope Paul-Henri Mathieu or Spaniard Marcel Granollers in the second round. He would very likely come across British No. 4 seed Andy Murray in the third round, should he win through his first two matches.
Other seeds in the second quarter include No. 8 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and No. 11 Mikhail Youzhny, both of whom Marcos would not meet until the quarter-finals, and No. 15 Tomas Berdych and No. 17 John Isner, who are both possible fourth round opponents.
