Marcos will open his campaign at the UNICEF Open on Wednesday when he faces Australian Peter Luczak in the second round of the ATP World Tour 250 grass-court tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
World No. 88 Luczak progressed through the first round with a 7-6, 7-6 win over Michael Russell on Sunday. It marked the 30-year-old Melbourne resident’s first ATP World Tour-level win since March, when he defeated Oscar Hernandez to reach the second round in Miami.
The right-hander’s best results came in the first two months of the season, when he reached the quarter-finals in Sydney and Santiago.
Marcos has never played Luczak in an ATP World Tour-level event before. Check out their head-to-head statistics here.
