Marcos guided the Punjab Marshalls into the finals of the 2015 Champions Tennis League, defeating the Raipur Rangers on Wednesday. The Marshalls will face either the Hyderabad Aces or Nagpur Orangers with the title at stake on Sunday.
"It was a very tight match and I had a bit of pressure," said Marcos. "I tried to stay as relaxed as possible and stay focus on my tactics. I am happy we won."
In addition to posting a 4-0 record thus far in singles, Marcos continued his great success in doubles with partner Saketh Myneni. He credits their great teamwork.
"Me and Saketh have a great communication on the court and off the court. We like playing together and we have great chemistry."
The final will be on Sunday in Hyderabad, with the Punjab Marshalls seeking a second straight title.
"I played last year in Hyderabad and I felt very good," Marcos added. "The crowd there is amazing and have a great following of tennis. I am very happy that I'll be playing again this year and I hope that the fans will come and enjoy the matches. We have a great team this year and I think that if we all keep playing the way we have been, we have a great chance of winning."
