Marcos stated that he is fully prepared for the impending Davis Cup tie against the Egypt national team. Marcos was speaking during the official draw ceremony which was held on Thursday at the Spyros Kyprianou Stadium, in Limassol where the tie will take place (5-7 March).
Marcos called upon the fans to stand by the team, which is playing for the first time on an indoor court, and as a result the tie is special. The combination of Marcos’ high level of fitness and also the presence of the fans, which it is expected to be massive, should be the key for Cyprus’ success.
Looking at the draw, Marcos will face Egypt No. 2 Sherif Sabry in the second match of the day. The full order of play is as follows:
