Marcos Back In Action In Miami

Wednesday, 25 March, 2015

Marcos returns to the court this week at the Miami Open presented by Itau in sunny South Florida, where he opens against fellow 29-year-old Simone Bolelli of Italy. Should Marcos win, he will face No. 32 seed Viktor Troicki, with fourth-seed Kei Nishikori also lurking in his section of the draw.

Making his eighth trip to Miami, Marcos will look to rediscover his top form at the second ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event of the year. Last week, he advanced to the second round in Indian Wells before falling to World No. 1 Novak Djokovic. Overall, he owns an 6-7 tournament record, with his best result having come last year in reaching the third round.

Marcos will look to boost his current Emirates ATP Ranking of No. 58 with a strong week in paradise. He has faced first round opponent Bolelli once, falling at Roland Garros in 2008. Their match will be held on Thursday.
