At the Davis Cup press conference today, Marcos expressed his delight that the tie will be the first time in Limassol. Marcos, who hails from this city by the sea, said in the press conference, held ahead of the impending tie between Cyprus and Egypt (5-7 March), “I am very happy that Davis Cup came to Limassol. It was a dream for me to play in Limassol and I thank all who helped for this to happen”.
Marcos spoke also of his own participation: “I shall try to be focused to help our team to get the victory. I started the year good, but all the matches were tough. The court is good, I have played recently on such a surface in Marseilles and I had good results”.
The main draw will take place on Thursday at the Spyros Kyprianou Stadium (11:00). The opening ceremony will be on Friday at 15:45 and two matches (singles) will follow at 16:00. The single matches on Sunday will begin at 12:00.
