After a three week lay-off due a back injury sustained in Metz, Marcos makes his return to the ATP circuit next week in Basel, Switzerland. The draw for the Davidoff Swiss Indoors was made on Saturday, and Marcos will face Spaniard Marcel Granollers in the first round.
The 32-man field, led by top seed and defending champion Roger Federer, also features No. 2 seed David Nalbandian, No. 3 Juan Martin del Potro and No. 4 James Blake.
As he is unseeded, Marcos could progress to a second round clash with No. 7 seed Tomas Berdych, should he advance past Granollers, against whom he has never played. Marcos is also in the same quarter of the draw as Roger Federer.

Marcos has a 7-2 record at Basel, highlighted by a runners-up finish on his debut in 2005 when he lost to Fernando Gonzalez, and a semifinal exit last year, falling to Jarkko Nieminen.
Main draw play gets underway on Monday, 20th October. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Marcos’ progress.
