Société Générale Cyprus (SGC) within its cultural and social contribution to the Cypriot public as well as recognizing the size of Marcos Baghdatis' contribution, assumed the responsibility of the main sponsor, in the Cyprus market, of Marcos' magnificent effort to reach the top of the World's best in Tennis.
The agreement is set to last until the end of 2009, thus covering Marcos' effort at the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008.
The signing ceremony with Marcos Baghdatis and Société Générale Cyprus confirming their commitment to success, took place on Wednesday, July 26 at Hilton Hotel in Nicosia in the presence of Marcos himself, his management team, the management of Société Générale Cyprus, local top tennis athletes as well as other Cyprus sports officials and friends.
Société Générale's decision is in line with the bank's general policy to promote youth through sports, art, music and generally the cultivation of the winning mentality and fair play.
